I will obviously support our nominee, whoever it is. I think, all things considered, it will be Biden and perhaps for the best. He is even tempered, intelligent, experienced, respected, literate. He’s made mistakes and learned from them. Moreover, he WANTS to learn from them.
We need a calming steady hand, as well as (seriously importantly) a down-ballot that will get us the Senate so we can do things right. People are exhausted with Trump’s crude, corrupt, babbling carnival antics...and I mean Republicans are sick of it too. Trump is a planetary spectacle, laughed at, derided and thought of as a buffoon across the globe. People may look like they “respect” us, but it is the same respect you would give a belligerent 6th grader who had a loaded gun. Plus, he is reckless, careless, unprepared and a total bullshitter.
Biden is a moderate alternative for independents and moderate Republicans. Trump has exhausted, divided and riled up this country. He is the worst president in history. He really must go.
On the other hand, I respect and admire few leaders like Bernie. I support most issues that Bernie Sanders has fought for these past four++ decades. There’s nothing radical about basic clinical health care for the public, any more than police and fire service for the public. Getting sick or injured shouldn’t be a for profit opportunity, or bring potential bankruptcy. It is no more “radical” than is our need for the fire department. We already have public education through the 12th grade and extending that through trade and vocational schools, state colleges and community college, for capable students, just makes good sense for everyone. You can still go to private or parochial schools.
But job 1? Dysfunctional Loon Trump has got to go back to the sewers under New York. Good riddance, hopefully.
