TRUMP loyalists LOVE to say the words 'promises kept...', but even a cursory examination shows that to be absolute, transparent baloney. It is only good for cardboard signs, held up by dumb stooges, at even dumber campaign rallies---rallies which Trump has inexplicably continued to hold, even while in office, and not even holding press conferences (where questions are asked).
Trump declared, in 2016, he would raise taxes on the rich and wouldn’t cut programs like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid that ordinary Americans rely on. Indeed, he is cutting all of these programs, or crippling them so they don't work properly.
At the same time, he promised he would investlarge sums in rebuilding America’s infrastructure. Trump has done exactly NOTHING regarding rail, ports, bridges, airports, energy grid, schools, highways, public lands (except destroying them), or health care, all while bleating about a silly wall that could better be established with drones, helicopters and/or picking up visa overstays.
The bulk of the illegal immigration is visa overstays; the bulk of illicit drugs come through huge, established ports of entry. "Walls" have zero effect on any of it.
He was lying. He has either not done any of that, or has done the exact opposite.
Trump’s only major legislative achievement, the 2017 Tax Cut and Jobs Act, was absolutely standard modern Republicanism: huge tax cuts for corporations, plus tax breaks that overwhelmingly benefited the wealthy.
Lies about a "decimated" military that he saved are a complete fabrication. Exaggerated economic claims belie the truth...the country is more widely split between the incredibly wealthy & those who hold down low-pay jobs and manage to get by--often by working more than one minimum wage shit job.
