So.... Progressive Democrats are “hair on fire” overreacting to the last three years of the  Trumpian ignorant, chaotic stupidity-venom machine? They are hyperbolic naysayers? Are they wrong that Trump is a narcissistic, dangerous, dysfunctional loon? Progressives are Commie social cancer? 

When they suggest Trump, Miller, McCarthy, et.al. have ginned up a frenzy of unnecessary hatred on the border, they are wrong? When they observe that a Trump is a joke, derided and laughed at in virtually every other first-world nation, they are overstating? When they suggest that the only thing Trump has done for health care is to take a wrecking ball to access, they are wrong? When they observe that the “big beautiful tax cuts” did absolutely nothing for industrial expansion, infrastructure or business generation.....and really just resulted in stock buy-backs which only helped the richest of the rich, they are incorrect? 

When they observe that Trump has had scores of people he hired or associated with dismissed in dishonor, or indicted and convicted, they are wrong? That Trump  has dozens of cabinet posts and senior administration jobs unfilled, because he and his staff are incompetent....or in many cases, no one wants the taint of working with them, that is untrue? I don’t think so. 

Trump‘s constant barrage of venom against the “invasion” on the southern border, suggesting these terrified families are diseased, subhumans, terrorists, drug couriers, human traffickers—- constant drumbeat of hatred and revulsion, is light years beyond anything ever spouted by  Democrat/progressives. Language and hyper-rhetoric like this from the president himself gives license to the nutjobs, and he bears responsibility for what he encourages, from his position of power. 

Progressives that I know have no desire at all for “open borders”— we want meaningful, effective immigration control. We want to attract scientists, artists, solid skilled workers or those who can and will learn. We understand the US cannot shelter everyone in the world having a bad day. We also want our major trading partners, Canada and Mexico, to have access and give access for business. We want strong, effective border protection that would necessarily include very aggressive policy shifts and diplomacy in Central and South America, where the problems causing migration actually start.

As an aside, this constant harangue about “Communism “ and “Socialism “ is ridiculous, lowbrow, uneducated twaddle. The thrust of progressives is Democratic Socialism, which is NOT those things, and which has no connection to the central means of production control that are the key elements of actual a communism or a socialism. Lack of education and lack of desire to learn the facts is a seeming hallmark of the Trumpian world. 

I have personally tried to reason with Trump supporters and it doesn’t work. They will not consider or admit facts. They believe things that have no factual or scientific basis. Huge percentages of them know absolutely nothing about law, science, health care, history or foreign policy. I do not, and would not, logically value their opinion about much at all. Angry, white , entitled, ignorant, lazy lower-middle class tits, really. 

If they vote because they don’t want to be considered angry, white , entitled, ignorant, lazy lower-middle class tits, that probably won’t work. We just need to fired Idiot Trump. He’s the current big problem.
