UPDATE*** turns out that, on top of everything else, the act being investigated itself was a made up fraud.

Ummmm.... You GI JOE guys. There on the roof. With the automatic rifles and military field gear. ILLINOIS. We have an officer shooting crime scene. Why are there huge, ominous, military trucks, armored troop carriers, tracked vehicles, police officers in combat helmets, carrying automatic weapons, laboring under huge backpacks--(what are they full of? These people are in a Beaver Cleaver community, just north of freaking Chicago!) --- all like one would expect on a month-long wilderness war-march. Literally hundreds of emergency vehicles, fire trucks, rescue trucks...???? People milling around all over each other.  Do they not have any police commanders? A police officer has been shot. We have fugitives from the scene. What happened to a few teams of experienced, disciplined police officers (not GI JOE wannabees), with a couple of tracking dogs? What an absolutely comical and darkly so, pointless fiasco.
