INTERFAITH JABBERWOCKY IN BOSTON

The huge "interfaith" religious service in Boston is underway. 10 or 15 priests/pastors/whatever's, dressed in varied absurd religious costumes lead this jabberwocky of political correctness. Organs play; unintelligible hymns ring out. People bow their heads solemnly, because everyone else is. Unable to accept that the universe is a flow of kaliadascopic, uncontrollable, unknown events (good, bad, neutral) - they postulate absurdly, and even assure us, about where God is, what God is doing & thinking, etc.. Since it is ludicrous to suggest that a just and omnipotent being, who assumedly loves us, would allow children's legs to be blown off, somehow they twist the logic around to some vague idea that "God is among us here." It is hard to conjure up, purposefully, something more idiotic and nonsensical than this display. I mean really. On the other hand, it is nice they are all together, supporting each other, but it would have been better done at a picnic, where they could have had camaraderie and perhaps collected some money for the people grubbing in the slums on the other side of town.
