NOT STOPPING HITLER IN 1939, AS HE INVADED POLAND, MURDERED INNOCENTS , BLEW UP APARTMENTS, SCHOOLS AND RAVAGED POLAND … BIGGEST MISTAKE OF THE 20TH CENTURY. REPEAT.
Even given the WW1 to WW2 historical continuum, one of the most horrific mistakes of the 20th Century was not squashing Hitler the week he ordered Germany to invade Poland on a pretext. That delay killed TENS of millions and left the planet largely in ruin.
