To Trump, what happens at the polls is pretty much irrelevant.
He will declare himself the winner and the process a hoax & a sham if it is even suggested he lost. He will rail, rant, lie, blame, name-call, lie some more, whip up insecurity-fear-and MORE fear. He will wrap it all in an American flag, with the military bands playing. Just like Hitler in 1933.
Somehow, he will distract the nation, even the world. It is a standard thing that always works. At least at the outset. Hitler did it to solidify his powe and blame the Jews and communists for a fire his followers set, on his orders. It was a distraction AND a way to make it a continuous “US V THEM” conflict.

He will purposely, with twisted malice, incite riots, dissension, confusion & unrest. He will NEVER concede the election peacefully or willingly. He will whip his deplorables into a bumbling, dangerous frenzy.
He will unleash half baked legal action, making baseless charges and theories. He will assail the courts with belligerent, unhinged nut cake lawsuits.
He will distract with crazy policy, wild pronouncements, made-up emergencies, unchecked actions. He will project, accuse, blame, rant. But he will never, ever concede.
He will eventually be removed from office, forcibly I suppose. I cannot know or even imagine what frightening form that will take. It will be absolutely horrible & deeply terrifying.
Trump found his voice.... his 28% of Q’s, gun-whacks, white nationalists, misfits, angry/scared uneducated thugs, misguided “patriots” with guns and beer bellies and visions of sugar plums, and dumb creeps—and they are ready. They think. He has pushed the country right where it was ready to go. Nobody stood up to him who had the power to change the course. Everyone shrank away in fear of what crazy, vindictive shit he would do to them next—and likely they were right.
Congress failed. The DOJ failed. Law enforcement failed. Moderate Democrats failed to show and vote. The courts failed. The adherents of tradition, honor & ethics were knee-capped. The press was too gentle when it got so crazy that very few would just say it”...he is mentally ill, unfit, dysfunctional...but the system let it go. He was aided by pretenders, cowards, bootlickers. It was appalling and astonishing.
Now he and his 28% ‘Q’ Anons, Deplorables, racist, angry white uneducated, unread toadies and twats —they....and HE are on the loose. This will be the crucible for our fragile democracy and our institutions which give it a framework. We are sailing into the big storm.
