WE ARE AT CROSSROADS; FORWARD TO AN IMPROVING & BETTER WORLD, OR BACK TO 1958

The days of social innovation and advancement...Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, public education through Community college, bold infrastructure projects, space exploration, ecology, alternative energy, basic health care for all, social equality, women's rights, advancing science, peaceful resolution of conflicts with NATO &; the EU...those days slip into the murky past.

Since the 80's, & picking up energy with opposition to Bill Clinton and then Obama, the movement back to 1958 is at full steam. It is accelerating at blinding speed with Trump in office.  Greed and power corruption of our business &; political leaders continues to change the US. --- influenced heavily by the metastatic infection of government, education &; foreign policy, by right wing evangelicals. The US is spiraling downward, in 1000 ways. The super-wealthy are living lawlessly. Brandishing semiautomatic weapons is a "right"; medical care for being shot....a privilege. Congress has rendered itself impotent against open and notorious Executive crime, the courts are being stacked for multi-generational political convenience, States have been gerrymandered into permanent feifdoms, where parochial, corn-pone, phony-pious men, in vast minimally populated lands, rule giant populations elsewhere ---demanding  control over education, removing health care, insurance, education &; women’s choices. It is sad & hellish.
