Is Robert Mueller is subjecting Trump to “the legal equivalent of a colonoscopy”?

Make no mistake about MY position. I think Trump is a dysfunctional, unfit loon, with zero ethics, low intelligence and the emotional makeup of a 15 year okd prep school delinquent. He is surrounded by liars, incompetents, bigots, fuck-ups, thieves and dullards.

BUT.....in a recent POLITICO article.....Dershowitz’s newest book, “Trumped Up: How Criminalization of Political Differences Endangers Democracy,” in which Dershowitz writes that special prosecutor Robert Mueller is subjecting Trump to “the legal equivalent of a colonoscopy.”

Is the “special counsel” enactment...and more specifically, the Mueller probe, something driven by a desire for justice and rule-of-law? If the FBI had raided Hillary /Bill Clinton’s lawyers office  etc., would the ACLU have been quiet? Are the situations analogous? Is a special counsel a way to follow every rabbit trail, of every kind, until a violation is found and charged! the subjects bankrupted, —- to ensnare or to pressure evidence against the “target”? Or—-as is suggested, is DERSHOWITZ actually NOT defending Trumps criminality, lack of ethics, ineptitude, thuggish behavior...but actually just defending the principles of civil liberties and government overreaching that he has AKWAYS stood against. These are questions worth, at least, considering.
