ITS THE SAME HERE AS ON THE FINNISH/RUSSIAN BORDER

BORDERTOWN— This Finnish police drama shows you that, right there, on the border of Russia and Finland, its just like here in the US— and you start to wonder why our leaders and our system try to convince us we are so different.....or worse, that one group is the enemy, and the other is US! . The people want and do and feel and think all the same things that we do....that people do all over the world.

The teenagers misbehave seriously. There are troubled marriages. Career challenges. There are good people and bad people....ethical ones and slime-balls. People searching for justice and people seeking to thwart justice. There is constant flow of story/action across the Finnish/Russian border. We find out it is essentially the same as anywhere USA, at its core. Thus is why well-traveled people are more aware and tolerant. If you have never been to Finland, Russia, Scandinavia— then it is easy to convince you it is what Washington and the media portray— instead of the truth, which is that all humans want and do essentially the same things.
