The ruse of fighting terrorism, like the war on drugs, is bullshit, and mostly a law enforcement / intelligence gathering operation resting on false pretenses. A huge, incomprehensible, out-of-control network of law enforcement agencies has been put in place and they are far afield of where they were intended to be.
This infrastructure is waiting for America's next dissidents. Meanwhile, the NDAA has rendered into law, a virtual free for all against ANYONE the Corporate-MIC-State sees as a threat to its interests. We are watched and recorded 24/7, and all of it stored for use later.
Watching our nation unravel is painful. Watching the stupid people, wailing about Christianity,military incursion, vaginal ultrasound, abortion, gays, machine guns -- it is exhausting. I ask myself which murders the Spirit more, the obvious military wars, the war on nature, or the war against our freedom, at this most basic level.
None of this seems possible, and yet it's all been normalized. People know their tag numbers are taken down, their voices and pictures are recorded, their conversations are monitored, but they are more upset because they want 40 round magazines. for their little pretend machine guns. The nation is suffering from a massive dose of Stockholm Syndrome.
