Yes... after planning it, in some fashion, for 50 years, off we go to see America. Most of which I have already seen many times--yet this took on aspects of a pilgrimage, because I said so. NOBODY wants to see SOMEBODY'S vacation pictures. I get that.
So, anyway, this was all accomplished without hotels, in a rather modest 5 x 8 teardrop trailer (see pics) - and camping every night, traversing the entire country, pretty much. That's an exaggeration.
FLORIDA, ALABAMA, MISSISSIPPI, ARKANSAS, OKLAHOMA, TEXAS, NEW MEXICO, ARIZONA, CALIFORNIA, OREGON, WASHINGTON, IDAHO, MONTANA, WYOMING, COLORADO, KANSAS, TENNESSEE. That seemed like a lot. Just under 8000 miles and a month of time.
Points of interest visited, GREAT PLAINS, GRAND CANYON, SEDONA, ROCKIES, SHASTA, OREGON COAST, WASHINGTON DESERT, IDAHO MOUNTAINS AND GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, YELLOWSTONE, SOME OF TETON, VARIOUS RIVERS, FORESTS AND MOUNTAINS IN BETWEEN.
Mostly one night camping stays, on the run, but did stay in Oregon several days, California several days, Montana several days.
So-- join me in looking at some bad pictures, repeated often, due to the evils of laziness and digital photography -- and even some good pictures, generally taken by my photographer friend, Bill Coberly. You will know the good ones, as they will be good. I am too lazy to even label them.
