This Ukraine onslaught by Russia is not “war” (as idiotic, wasteful & pointless as armed conflict is, in 2022). It is a violent, murderous international crime—unprovoked, immoral, holocaust. We watch complete lunacy unfold. Hospitals, schools, bus stops, nurseries— shelled and bombed—-millions displaced, tens of thousand of people dead. We watch grown, educated leaders actually talk about it, as if it were some legitimate, tactical exercise.
Even Hitler had reasons to break out in WWII, Fuel, food, trade, rampant economic collapse, reparations strangling the country since WWI, so at least he could make some kind of case for overrunning Poland. And Hitler was a deranged madman.
Where does this leave #pigdrunkputin?
The world, in a displomatic echo-chamber, pretends it is a military attack—something other than an international, violent criminal rampage.
Meanwhile, little kids and families are killed, maimed, displaced, terrified. Their homes, lives, nation being destroyed.
Did we stop teaching / requiring civics and history basics in US schools? Who was it who missed the similarities to Hitler? Inter Alia.
