MANIFESTO DESTINADO - BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT FOR THE WORLD . OK.

 MANIFESTO 

I’ve wasted hours, weeks or months, embroiled with “social media.” Then feeding what that creates with opinion journalism. Years, perhaps. I became dismissive, anxious, distraught, angry and frightened. I fed my fear and revulsion of sedition, dysfunction & stupidity by reading even more of it and interacting with the dumbest, least relevant members of society. I wanted them to feel the relief of seeing the error of their ways. 🥺 Doing so, I was able to add frustration and rage to my adjectives.  

There exists a problem. Accept it; Change it; or Leave it. 

They are a waste of time and skin. It’s cumbersome to operate outside social media of course. Trump made it seem necessary, but really it wasn’t anything but worse. By fighting with them on social media,

we even made MONEY for the Trump, Hawley, McCarthy criminal loons. 

It’s a waste of time, effort, intellect and life force.

Yesterday, I subscribed to SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN, THE ATLANTIC & THE ECONOMIST. I vow to read straight news & science. Basically NO bias (either way) political commentary. I set up my iPad apps & news filters  to make ready/handy AP, REUTERS, NEWSY, BBC WORLD, AL JAZEERA, CHEDDAR....Straight news. Unvarnished articles / clips.

I am ratcheting my social media down to a thin shadow of what it was. A few minutes each day. No deep interaction. I’m transferring that time to moving meditation in my yard and looking for a shepherd dog to be my companion.
