CEDAR KEY, FLORIDA; THE DISAPPEARING STILT HOUSE

I’ve been watching that stilt house at CEDAR KEY  disintegrate for 52 years.

I took a motorcycle trip, this week, for the purpose of shooting some coastal frames down around Cedar Key, Florida. You can see the interesting growth/look of the area and the sunset with the pelicans was nice.

The most fascinating, to me, is that stilt house. First time I ever went to Cedar Key,  52 years and maybe 25 visits ago, it was an ordinary stilt house, out on the bay — people still stayed in it on the weekends. The weeks and months and years have gone by and it’s fallen into... first —disrepair... and finally crumbled into the Gulf of Mexico . It’s like a sentinel, observing time moving forward & progress.
