A MALE FLOATING PRIMATE; INTERESTED IN HUMAN SACRIFICE, VIRGINS AND HOMOSEXUALS

You are not "blessed" by any supernatural MALE primate, floating in the clouds. It is all random.  Believing you can “pray” to some imaginary friend in the sky might make you feel better, but there is certainly no creature listening to your whining, changing the course of events because HE thinks you tell a good story. It’s obviously absurd. To pretend there is some sentient, godly, all - powerful creature making billions of decisions a day, based in part on the supplications of some religious sect. But only certain sects. Even more absurd to assert these things happen, somehow particularly, with regard to a third rate planet, in an obscure galaxy, circling a dying sun-star. Please stop.

Favorable things happen, in a random unfolding of events...a molecule here and there. An atom crashing here and there. Universally, there is a constant shift of things. Adverse things happen the same way. Pretending that we affect the unfolding of events, by some certain beanie we wear, by eating a certain way, by not swearing, by not shaving our faces or legs, or involving “prayer” —talking to the sky (or a wall, or a rug)...prayers directed to a non-existent, made up force, with our desires that things go differently? Comically tragic.

I cannot challenge the possible existence of some force or incomprehensibly all-powerful entity, unconstrained by “time” or “space”— somehow limitless in existence, vibrating throughout all things. I just don’t think it is a primate...first cousin to a chimp..., who floats around interested in virgins, homosexuals, sacrifice, beanies, dancing, shaving, hats, rugs. Really? An entity that is all things at all times in all things.... an entity that spends inordinate amount of time “listening” to certain humans “praying”...and then “changing HIS mind” about this-or-that, because some drunks in Alabama want their middle school ball team to win.

Religious movements, of course, are also primarily social structures that make the participants feel good about who they are and what they are doing. They do a lot of social good. They often posit useful, laudable choices and socially “good” encouragement. They will demand adherents not steal, not commit adultery, not murder, work & play with kindness and ethics. Welcome strangers. Help the ill, destitute and the imprisoned. Of course, all of those things are also practiced by normal, agnostic, responsible humans.

If “time” is in the mix, then that is applying a human concept to  an overall universe that operates outside of time. There is no such "thing" as 'time'. We sentient beings, at a certain point, become aware that we have a memory imprint from the 'past' and a set of expectations for the 'future' and thus, 'time' is passing. “Time” makes sense to measure and place events we know about and observe,

In scientific, proven, accepted, absolutely certain terms, what is ACTUALLY happening is that each moment arises out of the remnants of the moment before it. In the last mome t, there were a million changes to my body and surroundings. Molecules careened around. Atomic particles shifted, realigned, reformed. At the atomic and molecular level, I am a new creature. My physical surroundings changed too. More molecular and atomic spinning and shifting and changing.

Slice by slice, everything is different now than a moment ago. Eventually, a wrinkle appears. An organ ceases to work properly. A roof falters. The observed changes have been happening, moment by moment at a time, forever.

Moreover, things newly created, like baby humans, mountains, beaver lodges...every single thing that comes to be, is all built out of the remnants re-broken down materials of what existed before. The cells and atoms making your body up were salvaged from other things that existed before, broke down, disassembled molecularly, and then came back together to form the 'new' thing. You.
