Unintentional though it was, I found myself In keeping with Halloween -discovered an old OLD canopy dirt path, back into an ancient cemetery. I rode out and around it (thankfully, my current motorcycle is comfortable on the highways AND the dirt/rutted gravel)... [V-Strom XL]

THIS was a gem. My assignment was to get some "layering" and some "framing" in a few photos...[I am still in my Nat Geo photog course]...so I discovered this really ancient, falling-down, one room cabin. I may go back and go inside. I am not sure why I didn't yesterday, actually.
Back out onto Highway 12, heading across the Quincy Creek...

Often, at various places on the Creek, I walk back and stand still and just listen...and if you do, after a few minutes, all the bugs and birds and things accept your presence and start to move around, about their business. There is a rustle of life.
Finally, to get some practice with "lines" and using them---even recognizing them, I stopped at a cattle ranch that is right behind where I live [raising black angus]-- and I shot the fence-line and the bales of hay. The point was to see how the lines of view are formed. There is a tad of layering, as well.
