A NOTE TO THE SOUTHEASTERN AMERICAN PUBLIC;
Stop being a bunch of whiny, cowardly dumb-toads, squalling about bottled water, God forbidding, worshipping everyone with a badge or uniform, and bumbling around chattering nervously, believing everything some 25 year old newscaster says. .... or worse, climbing in your broken down van and dragging your screeching children up to Alabama-- where there are no motels anyway.
Good God. So to speak.
The "first responders" in Florida are not "doing Gods work"-- they are firemen and cops, with good jobs and high level benefit packages, making double time wages! ....on top of already making $75-$85000 a year. What is WRONG with the public? Have they watched so much television that they think NCIS is somehow reality? Really! Good Lord.
The police and firefighters and Coast Guard and military are well organized, well paid, well equipped and certainly reasonably safe. Further, they are ecstatic are ecstatic in these storms-- making tons of money! They love these jobs, as did many of us. Far and away, they make more money than the average simpering coward, slobbering about bottled water and sandbags. I remember, as a policeman, working riots and weather emergencies, and laughing about how that would take care of Christmas that year. Their families are in the fire houses or police stations, all fed and taken care of.
This is a large Atlantic basin storm. That's it. God, in this universe of billions of solar systems, has nothing to do with this. It is the earths rotation and the varying Sun heat / cooling patterns over the oceans. God has nothing to do with this, starting it or stopping it. We are a dying teeny solar system, we are on a dying little planet, spinning into the Sun, toward destruction. In the scheme of the universe, we are not even a speck...in time or size? GOd Willing? Really?
There are billions and billions of stars, just like our Sun. God isn't hiding behind the clouds, blessing America. WTF?
There isn't any "God Forbid" or "God Willing" this, or that-- its a huge storm....a perfectly natural disaster, bearing down on a land mass. It has nothing to do with "God" willing or God forbid....what the hell is wrong with these people?
Really? People sitting in cars, hundreds of them, waiting for HOURS, to get some county inmates to give them FIVE sandbags. And they are so cowardly and lazy, they won't even get out of their air conditioned cars to fill them! Really. That's how idiotic the populace are. It's like a Confederacy of Stooges, sending up prayers to an old man, hiding behind the clouds. People are acting like a bunch of 8 year olds. Squalling about their bottled water. The sandbags that they don't even know what to do with. My country.
The first responders in Miami have NOT faced "back to back" storms...Jesus! STFU CNN with the hero worship and the Gods Work crap. Firemen in miami had zip to do with anything in Houston. Come on. Stop with the "sending up prayers"-- to who? To What?--- really! What the hell is wrong with the human race? It's a large, deadly storm. Shut up, hunker down and get to it.
The "evacuation " is ridiculous and a clusterfuck.... there is not enough gasoline, water, the roads are jammed, people are driving 10 miles in three or four hours in the jam, and then running out of gas, there are disabled vehicles all over the place, the interstates are a parking lot, there is nowhere for the people to go, motels up to Atlanta are all full...and STILL, they are packing up their dilapidated "family vans" and heading out, as the media and government panic their cowardly asses, and they squall about bottled water, because they are so helpless.
