A DECADE LATER, THE JOKES ON YOU, THE SPINELESS MAJORITY. YOU WOULDN'T FIGHT AGAINST THESE THINGS THEN, AND NOW THEY ARE REAL....STEALING YOUR RIGHTS, 

The Patriot Act,, a silly, NON-PATRIOTIC hodge-podge of stupid nonsense, put together by cowards and stoops who wanted to look tough on terrorists, so they got tough on your Mom opening an IRA. PA, whereby people give up rights to intrusion by the police and government, give up rights to privacy, codify government spying and apprehension of citizens, codifying the ability to look into your life, your financials and everything, without anything more than curiosity.... it makes you puke. Safer? No. Rights restricted and eaten alive? Yes. 

THE IRAQ/AFGHAN WAR? The VA Medical Care emergency? Just another afterbirth of the crimes by Cheney, Rice and Bush--that will live on and on for decades. 37000 maimed Americans. Now we have a crisis caring for them! But they should never have been hurt in the first place, because Iraq was a criminal fraud and war crime, with Z E R O connection to any terrorism that was directed at the United States.

The NDAA? A travesty. A document that has given over massiv, unprecedented power to the police and government. To arrest and confine dissenters. To target and spy on citizens and citizen groups, with impunity. To monitor purchases and movements (even a little camping generator is logged in, if you buy one)—The NDAA is an abomination to the principles our Republic was founded upon. While the twisting to this law and the implementation of the Patriot Act—as well as the war crimes of “invading” Iraq and Afghanistan—stupid and criminal as they were, the assault upon our basic rights—the SUCCESSFUL assault, due to the bungle of what happened on and after 9-11, this is what we need to be clear on..

I voted for Obama, but his failure to fight the Patriot Act and the NDAA, tooth and nail, and his continuation of the wars, was so disheartening. He did not do what we liberals expected, at all.
