Every time I hear someone say " yes we need health care reform, just not Obamacare," two things universally take place. (1) they have no workable ideas at all for universal coverage, nor any idea how to accomplish solving the problem or (2) they start to list what we need, like 'no pre existing exclusions' and go on to list other things that are really just what Obamacare accomplishes anyway. I have no idea what college costs have to do with health care. A major problem in our system, which causes it to be twice as expensive as any other first world country, and leaves us at 27th in service, is because it is solely FOR PROFIT. The insurance carriers are simply making as much as they possibly can, but they only insure healthy people, where possible. One thing Obamacare does is to compel insurance purchase, just like in auto insurance. Thus, more money is in the system other than those few of us who actually pay cash now. I have heard that Obamacare is a "train wreck" and the "wheels are coming off" but the truth is, where implementation has begun, costs are going down. I have never heard a single coherant explanation as to what is wrong with Obamacare, especially since the GOP candidate for president, Romney, championed and instituted in successfully in Mass. This boils down to whatever Obama wants, the tea party doesn't want, even if it was their idea. Black-tracking.
