True Journalists; True patriots;Truly Honest Men Above Money

I speak to keep my personal promise to Fred Friendly

True Journalists; True patriots; truly honest men above money
I encourage those who do not know, to quickly look up and see who Fred Friendly was.

In an exchange with a nutjob on Facebook, I was positioned to keep a promise I made to Fred Friendly  at my law school graduation, many years ago.

And I said...

"...You are the most well read and persuasive RWNJ I have encountered online. The core truth of McCarthy and the harm he did, which effected even my personal childhood, because my dad was at the Pentagon at the time, is an untold story. There is no way to get anywhere with you at all. You have never run your own business. You have never had the full might of the US Government poised to take away your freedom for life, you have never been hunted by drug dealers or concussed by mortars or shell shocked by rockets; you have never slept in a cold sandbag bunker, with river rats crawling on you, you have never been within 50 yards of a man with a rifle, bayonet fixed, who was intent upon killing you, you have not watched your 19 year old friends bleed and die for bad foreign policy. You are someone who knows how to comb the internet for data that supports your theories, which are narrow and foolish. You are like Will Hunting. You are someone who has read about it, but never actually experienced it. You were in a sanitized military, sleeping between clean sheets, where you were not exposed to direct combat. I have two sons older than you. Compared to me, your education and experience are equivalent to the high school person you describe. I PERSONALLY know Fred Friendly. He PERSONALLY gave me a copy of the Constitution when I graduated from law school. He personally asked me, and 40 other graduates, to never forget McCarthy, and to guard our country against his reincarnation. Since you are such a researcher, find out who Fred Friendly is, vis a vis McCarthy. I speak today, to keep that promise made to Friendly, many years ago. You are hopeless and will remain so, unless life itself visits lessons upon you..."
