THE CALM AFTER THE STORMS

In the last 24 hours or so, here in far Northern Florida, South Georgia, we had some wild weather-- hail banging off the porch and roof; the trees....BIG TREES, bending and creaking under winds at 60 MPH, howling winds, sideways hail, black, low sky--hours of crashing, booming and bright flashes of over 3500 lightning strikes; electricity flittering and fluttering.

Here is my front/ back  yard a minute ago, like no storm ever then.... In a few hours, all forgotten by the turtles and the bugs and the leaves and the water....and it's a perfect Spring afternoon! I put 100 miles on the motorcycle, meet friends at Starbucks, see the forest glisten and green, the azaleas and dogwoods blooming. Like it never happened.

It makes me want to start worshipping new life, Spring renewal, fertility....grab some eggs, chicks, naked women, penis statues and get Pagan.
